Next Steps Checklist

After Completing the Initial Steps and Receiving Approval from Your Outreach & Licensing Specialist, please proceed with the following steps:

Provide Outreach & Licensing Specialist with Copies of Current First Aid and CPR Certification: If your certification is not current or is set to expire during the certification process, or if you don't currently hold valid certification, please notify your Outreach & Licensing Specialist. Envoi will arrange a group CPR class for each training cohort to facilitate certification and will cover the expenses for this training. If individuals are unable to attend the scheduled session or prefer alternative training, they may select their own CPR/First Aid course within the community. However, any expenses incurred for such training will be the responsibility of the individual.

Create Accounts with the Child Welfare Training System (CWTS) and Colorado Cross-Systems Training Institute: Enroll in all webinars and training sessions listed in the training documents provided.

Enroll in Pressley Ridge Training for Treatment/Therapeutic Foster Care (PR-TFC): Your Outreach & Licensing Specialist will provide information about available dates, locations, and other details related to this training.

Enroll in Professional Crisis Management (PCM): Your Outreach & Licensing Specialist will provide information about available dates, locations, and other details related to this training.

Training Hours Log: Utilize this log to keep track of all training sessions you attend, both within and outside of Envoi. It's essential for monitoring your total training hours, and each applicant should maintain their own log.

Review and Acknowledge/Sign Various Agreements: Take time to review and sign the Foster Parent Policies and Procedures (provided separately), Mandatory Reporter Agreement, Confidentiality Agreement, and the Written Notice of Personally Identifiable Information. Each applicant should complete these forms individually.

Provide Outreach & Licensing Specialist with Copy of Current Renter’s or Homeowner’s Insurance.

Provide Outreach & Licensing Specialist with Copy of Driver’s License, Vehicle Registration, Vehicle Maintenance & Safety Inspection Checklist, and Proof of Insurance: Ensure that your Outreach & Licensing Specialist has copies of the driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance for each applicant.
